C-23B Sherpa
Based on the Short Brothers 330-UTT and manufactured in Northern Ireland. Withdrawn from service in 2014, this was the US Army's last tactical fixed-wing transport aircraft. Performed with distinction in Iraq and surrounding countries during the GWOT. Grunts loved this aircraft as relying on Air Force C-130 transportation and supply aircraft that were not always available for the Army. This photograph was taken in 2014 and I was glad to catch it one more time.
